Strong Girl Nam Soon emerged as a highly anticipated addition for fans of Strong Woman Do Bong Soon. The series promised a compelling narrative and, in many ways, delivered on those expectations. It's a story woven with intricate relationships, powerful character dynamics, and a blend of genres that keeps the audience engaged. However, within this thrilling ride, there are aspects that shine and others that could have been addressed better.

The series follows Nam Soon, a young woman who, unbeknownst to her, has spent her life in Mongolia after going missing at a young age. The plot thickens as she returns to Korea and her family's desperate search for her.

One of the show's standout aspects is the portrayal of its characters. From Nam Soon's mother, Geum Ju, to the charismatic villain, Ryu Si Oh, the cast brings depth and authenticity to their roles. Byeon Woo Seok's portrayal of Ryu Si Oh deserves particular applause for capturing the character's duality, evoking sympathy even for a ruthless antagonist.

Yet, amidst the series' strengths, there are noticeable flaws. The neglect of Nam In, Nam Soon's twin brother, is a notable point of contention. The family's oversight of his emotional well-being, especially considering his struggles and drug use, stands out as an aspect that could have been handled more sensitively and effectively in the narrative.

The relationship development between Nam Soon and Hee Sik is portrayed as a highlight. The slow-burn affection and the natural progression of their connection create an engaging subplot within the larger narrative. The series for me had a  commendable balance of comedy, drama, and romance, making it an entertaining watch.

The show's ability to bring comedic relief at the right moments and the confident, straightforward portrayal of its female characters is applaudable. And the dynamics between Nam Soon and Geum Ju are particularly lauded for their warmth and growth.

The technical aspects, including cinematography and soundtrack, complemented the scenes effectively, enhancing the overall viewing experience.

Strong Girl Nam Soon successfully blends various elements to create an engaging series. While it excels in character portrayal, emotional depth, and entertainment value, it falters in addressing certain character arcs sensitively. Despite this, it manages to capture the essence of its predecessor and leaves viewers eager for the next installment.
