Being a devoted SEVENTEEN fan, I was thrilled when I heard that Jun was returning to the world of acting in "Exclusive Fairytale." As soon as its release date was announced, I knew I had to watch it, and when they dropped all the episodes at once, it became a day-long binge-watching event—a day very well spent, I might add.

Exclusive Fairytale weaves a heartwarming story of two close friends, Ling Chao and Xiao Tu, who have considered themselves as brother and sister since their childhood. Their journey through life is beautifully depicted as they share experiences of love, friendship, joy, and sadness together.

Ling Chao, an overachiever, falls in love with his childhood friend, the adorable and carefree Xiao Tu. While they encounter a few roadblocks along the way, what stands out is Ling Chao's unwavering determination to win Xiao Tu's heart. With the support of their friends and family, they eventually find their way to each other.

What struck me most about "Exclusive Fairytale" was the development of both the central couple and the secondary couple's intimate relationships. But it wasn't just romantic relationships that blossomed—the series also beautifully portrayed the growth of friendships from high school to adulthood. Through the highs and lows of school, work, and life, these characters stuck together.

Jun's portrayal of Ling Chao was a delightful surprise, as it was quite different from his true personality. Nevertheless, he did an admirable job of expressing Ling Chao's feelings and concerns. Zhang Miao Yi, on the other hand, executed Xiao Tu's playful, straightforward, and cute personality flawlessly.

While the main characters were endearing, it was the parents who stole the show for me, especially the mothers of Xiao Tu and Ling Chao. Their enthusiastic support for their kids' relationship was both funny and heartwarming. It added a unique layer of humor to the drama.

One aspect of the series that resonated with me was how Xiao Tu and Ling Chao defined their relationship on their own terms. They didn't conform to the stereotypical ideals of what a relationship should be. Instead, they did what felt right for them, what they were comfortable with, and how they wanted to be with each other. This message of authenticity and individuality in relationships was refreshing.

While Exclusive Fairytale is a delightful youth drama, there were moments when I felt that certain aspects of the story were glossed over and could have been explored in more depth. A bit more attention to these nuances could have made the narrative even richer.

Exclusive Fairytale is a heartwarming drama that beautifully portrays the journey of love and friendship. It features strong performances by the cast, with Jun and Zhang Miao Yi shining in their respective roles. While there were minor shortcomings in terms of story depth, the series remains a cute and light-hearted watch, making it well worth your time. As a SEVENTEEN fan, watching Jun in a different light was a treat, and I can't wait to see more of his acting endeavors in the future.
